It is presumed to be the autochthonous sort, probably within the group of Malvasija wines. Iti s spread through the whole vineyard region of coastal Croatia.
The wines are of top quality, concentrated and they vary in colour from green-yellow, gold-yellow to colour of straw. Fruity components of ripe fruits and honey prevail in the character of these wines together with high level of alcohol and moderate to mild acids. They have a very concentrated flavour, depth and richness of fruit.
They are served chilled at temperature of 10 C with meat and fish of high quality.
